Job Type Part-time, TemporaryDescriptionWe are seeking a skilled PRN- Traveling Ortho Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthodontic procedures and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. As an Ortho Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the orthodontist in providing high-quality patient care.To be responsible in assisting to produce performance and quality standards within the Orthodontic Clinic, delivered through customer service skills, attention to detail and common sense.To be responsible for the maintenance of the practice's equipment located within the clinic, reporting any issues to the Practice Manager.Duties include:Help to maintain patient flow pattern by seating patients promptly and begin procedures Well-versed in Invisalign cases, iTero Scanning, and bonding Invisalign attachments Place separators, elastic chains, and wires. Prepare teeth for bonding of braces Scales cement and checks patient for loose brackets or bonds Monitor oral hygiene of patients, instructs on correct brushing Deliver all instruments to sterilization to be sterilizedKeeps drawers stocked, clean, and replenished Debriefs patient and parents after appointments Take X-rays, CBCT, iTero scans, and impressions.Charts notes for patients seen, Chart scheduling of next appointment type needed and the weeks outAnswers any questions for parents regarding treatmentAssists Orthodontist in any given procedure Anticipates what doctor may need during appointment and takes actionCleans chair and moves around clinic with sense of urgency Back up Sterilization Preforms side tasks daily and/or monthly as assigned by Clinic CoordinatorAttends all other staff meetings and Daily Huddles. Abide by established office policies and proceduresRepresenting the practice in a positive way inside and outside of the office.Requirements At least 1.5 years of orthodontic assisting experience is required be self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitudepossess great understanding of orthodontic terminologyhave excellent communication and written skillshave excellent public relations skillswork well with patients and teambe experienced in delivering high-level customer serviceCommitted to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as needed.Willing to travel to our 2 locations in the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex.Available to work all Mondays and Tuesdays but not limited to working any other day of the week if needed.Salary Description $15-$20 an hour. based on experience
