Job Title: Production WorkerJob DescriptionWe are currently hiring for general production workers at our Annex facility. Candidates will use hand tools and a tape measure to follow work instructions and assemble various components of flooring and drop ceiling products. All lifting will be done as a team, but individuals should be comfortable lifting up to 30-35 lbs on their own a handful of times per shift. There is also an opportunity to train on machinery once hired on.Responsibilities Inspect panels or parts to verify they meet quality standards while maintaining established production standards. Read and follow established Manufacturing Operating Procedures or Standard Operating Procedures without deviation unless approved. Complete production reporting and quality paperwork accurately as required. Efficiently use banding equipment and hand-jacks to ensure proper movement or storage of product or material. Place materials such as panels or tile in machines or on conveyors in a prescribed manner and sequence while maintaining a smooth flow of operations. Perform various trimming, indexing, or cutting procedures as required. Keep supervisor informed of problems and equipment that is not operating properly. Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual. Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.Essential Skills Ability to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. and a maximum of 45 lbs. continuously for at least an 8-hour shift. Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions. Must be able to work in an area that may contain non-hazardous airborne particles due to the manufacturing process with proper PPE provided. Must be able to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift. Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment, or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using hand tools and a tape measure. Experience with power tools, machine operation, micrometers, and calipers is a plus. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions. Only about 15 employees work on the floor at a time. The Annex building specializes in containment door assemblies. The main facility is older and larger, with about 40-60 employees per shift, and is also loud.
