SKILLS:
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to resident requests for service and assistance
- Knowledge of computer functions, including designated organization-approved electronic software
- Excellent communication skills with residents, staff, families and the public
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of general cleaning procedures preferred
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Understanding of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Perform a variety of tasks such as dust mopping and damp mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including sinks, tubs, commodes, washing walls and high dusting
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms furniture as well as sitting room area and dining room furniture
- Meet residents' needs in a professional and courteous manner

- Report any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facility's information system
- Maintain HIPAA compliance as well as confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data
- Exhibit concern for safety and well-being of staff, residents, families, and visitors
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Collect all trash throughout the building and discard into dumpsters outside of the facility
- Clean and sanitize all public bathrooms and laundry rooms throughout the building
- Vacuum hallways, sitting areas, lobby, chapel, offices and residents' rooms
- Clean elevators and stairwells throughout the building
- Clean and sanitize residents' bathrooms and showers as well as check high dusting
- Bed and complete room cleaning in the Nursing Unit
- Participate in annual spring cleaning
- High dust throughout the building as needed
- Clean chairs and table bases in the main dining room
- Change and make beds once a week
- Pass out towels twice a week
- Do residents' laundry as needed
- Deliver patients' clothing in the Nursing Unit
- Replace paper towels, hand soap and pass out gloves as needed in the Nursing Unit
- Clean glass door entrances, windows in and out as well as blinds throughout the building
- Polish resident furniture and common areas throughout the building
- Participate in the Quality Assessment Performance Improvement Program (QAPI)
- Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work
- Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned
- Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts
- Collect required data for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) purposes, as directed
OTHER DUTIES: - Timely completion of all required in-services
- Must be present for at least one mandatory annual fire drill
- Must participate in annual N95 Fit Testing
- All other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned
