Position Summary Shipping employees perform all functions assigned by the shipping supervisor and manager, including but not limited to receiving, returns, stocking, selection, pallet consolidation, loading and unloading trucks.
Schedule: - 1st Shift: 5:30 AM - 1:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Perform receiving, stocking, selection, pallet consolidation, unloading, and loading as scheduled assigned.
- Perform selection utilizing pick tickets, building pallets of product, wrapping them from top to bottom, and staging them in the proper shipping lanes.
- Operate any equipment training and be certified to use it safely and efficiently. Equipment may include box cutters, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, or other heavy machinery.
- Use of specialty ordering systems.
- Maintain warehouse in good condition.
- Comply with all applicable health and safety codes.

Job Qualifications - Effective oral and written communication in English.
- Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the distribution center. Ability to perform physical requirements of position. Proper use of equipment. Able to meet heavy-lifting requirements.
- Ability to work well with others, accuracy, self-motivation, must have strong leadership skills, basic computer skills and be able to work independently with moderate supervision.
Working and Environmental Conditions The position requires work in a variety of work environments. Forklift operators will work in a wet refrigerated manufacturing facility with temperatures below 40°F, a dry warehouse environment with temperatures reaching up to 85°F and/or in freezer warehouse conditions at -10°F. Work areas may be tight and will require continuous exposure to noisy environments exceeding 85 dBA. Strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes. The role demands the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and safely.
Physical Demands Must be able to stand and walk for the entirety of the shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with continuous motion. Must be able to push/pull 100 lbs with continuous motion. Must be able to navigate manufacturing equipment and facilities including repetitive bending, kneeling, reaching over head with both arms, stooping, squatting, and twisting. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights when needed. Must be able to regularly use hands to handle, grasp and control objects with good gripping strength and manual dexterity. Occasional exposure to moving machinery. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical exam.
