Job Description

The purpose of the Master Production Planner's role is to plan rough cut capacity and provide monthly production volumes across all plant locations. The incumbent of this position will also be responsible for planning production actions for peak seasons and times of extended shutdowns.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Monitor plant lead times and adjust production schedules to meet all customer needs
  • Assess plant production hours availability
  • Track and report curtailments, planned shutdowns and line yields
  • Analyze net inventory with forecasted shipments to determine necessary production
  • Provide rough cut capacity reports and oversee approval of out-of-pattern shipments
  • Stock transport orders between plants and ensure movement of production during times of limited supply
  • Run capacity, manufacturing, distribution and site location/cost scenarios
  • Manage key supplier purchasing forecasts to optimize inventories and service levels
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, which should include 1 year of experience in production planning or order management OR
  • In lieu of degree, candidate must have an APICS or related supply chain certification, OR 10 years of applicable experience in production planning or order management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of order management ERP or/and production scheduling
  • Strong preference in SAP APO/DP Demand Planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing locations
  • Complete understanding of supply chain network
  • Moderate travel required (11 - 29 days per year)
  • Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility (maybe exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.).
  • May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds

$80,900.00-$111,200.00 Annual
