Equiliem is seeking a local contract nurse RN Psychiatric for a local contract nursing job in Utica, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Psychiatric Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/16/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Summary of Need: To provide nursing care to children and youth, via interventions and medication administration consistent with the established systematic problem-solving approach for the delivery of comprehensive nursing care, which are compliant with the regulatory standards in a juvenile correctional setting. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Conduct health assessments. Prepare and implement nursing care plans. Diagnose and treat individuals' responses to actual, potential, or diagnosed health problems through nursing services, such as case-finding, health teaching and counseling, and the provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being. Execute medical regimens prescribed by licensed health care providers; and serve as members of interdisciplinary health care teams and health-related committees to plan and implement care for individuals. Maintaining general medical inventory (including controlled substances). Review the overall health conditions of youth (i.e. preparing, reviewing, and evaluating nursing intervention plans). Ensuring that interventions are consistent with comprehensive treatment plans. Participate in staff training. Prepare required clinical and administrative reports. Maintain infection control standards; and serve as a member of the facility's medical treatment team. Additional duties to be discussed in detail during the interview. Qualifications: Registered Nurse in New York State. Minimum of one (1) or more years' experience. Highly motivated, independent thinker and self-starter. Enthusiastic team player. Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills. Able to manage multiple projects. Strong follow-up and communication skills. Excellent computer skills. (Word processing, office scheduling, familiar with Windows). Hours: Full Time - Weekdays - 8am to 430pm Contract Length: Up to 2 years.
