Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a  Travel RN - Med/Surg - 7th Neuroscience

Shift:  Days / 6:45a-7:15p, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, EOW

Length: 13 weeks (up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays)

Requirements:

• NC license
• Minimum 1 year MedSurg experience
• Med/Surg Neuro experience
• Skills: IV Start and Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias
• BLS
• NIH
• NIHSS
• ACLS preferred
• Prefer 2 years previous travel experience

Other Details:

• RATIOS: 1:5-6
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start
• Floating required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units. If the traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, we will need to have them make up the weekend shifts based on the needs of the unit. Frequent floating may be required
• Patient diagnoses: We care primarily for Stroke patients, but also care for possible Neurosurgery patients as well as other Neuro diagnoses, such as Epilepsy, Traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and many more
• Unit systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• Locals Accepted
• Unit will not Accept 1st Time Travelers (Must have at least 1 year of travel experience. Prefer 2 years previous travel experience)

• 4 BED Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) that is considered Intermediate level and that nurse has 4:1

  42 daily census. 43 rooms/beds

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:

Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year Experience in MedSurg

Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT Accept 1st Time Travelers (Must have at least 1 year of travel experience. Prefer 2 years previous travel experience)
