We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures experience to join our team This is a PRN position with after hours call . Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, the Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating all Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures during their assigned shift and ensures that CPRMC values are reflected in all aspects of the department's operation. Responsibilities Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care Performs various patient tests and administers medications as ordered by physicians, keeping within the scope of practice of the registered nurse Assists physicians during examination and procedures related to adult and pediatric radiology, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology (IR) and other special procedures cases Prepares required documentation and maintains appropriate internal records on patient care Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills May direct, monitor and/or evaluate care delegated to non-licensed personnel Assumes, under the direction of the Laboratory, responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance Performs a range of technical services in a cross-functional mode to comprehensively serve patient needs Communicates effectively and collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and accurate delivery of patient care Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.
