As a non-profit employer, UCP participates with the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program - full-time employees may be eligible for the remaining balance on their Direct Loans to be forgiven Responsibilities: Here’s what to expect as a Speech and Language Pathologist: Assist in developing outcomes, strategies, and data collection methods based on the child’s Evaluation Report (ER) and Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Assess the needs, interest, and abilities of the family and child to determine appropriate ways to assist the family in meeting their functional goals as it relates to speech and language therapy. Assess on an ongoing basis the functional skills of the child in the areas of receptive and expressive language skills, oral motor development, feeding and swallowing, and augmentative communication needs. Provide families with individual session notes that include the outcome, strategies used, recommendations, and plans for the next session. Provide updates and information for quarterly reviews and annual evaluations in accordance with county guidelines to allow for adequate planning when determining the child's continued eligibility. Provide support and feedback to families/caregivers with suggestions and strategies to assist their child in achieving their IFSP goal. Act as a liaison with medical staff when appropriate. Develop and implement new policies and/or procedures within the functional area to support the continuous improvement of operational effectiveness and efficiency. Assist in the coordination of communication therapy services in compliance with governmental policies and standards. Maintain current mandated paperwork to include: State license, Child abuse clearance, State Police clearance, FBI clearance, 24 hours of training for Early Intervention, and any pertinent certifications related to license/expertise. Complete all Agency and county paperwork required for new referrals and ongoing services within outlined timelines. Maintain participants’ work files following HIPAA regulations. Qualifications: Minimum requirements as a Speech and Language Pathologist: Bachelor’s degree within a related discipline expected and 2 to 5 years of learning experience Or Master’s degree within a related discipline and 0 to 2 years of learning experience Completion of ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) Eligible for PA Promise Enrollment Not on CMS Exclusion List A valid driver’s license and 6 months of previous driving experience Access to vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection Ability to communicate, read, write, and interpret English Preferred, but not required: Knowledge of feeding, AAC, medically complex children with tracheotomy/passy-muir valves, etc If you are still reading, we should talk Apply today, we would love to hear your story and share ours.
