Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a Stamping Operator for a machine shop client located in Clackamas, Oregon who specializes in custom manufacturing.

- Fridays are optional overtime
- 6:00am - 4:30pm
- $22 - $28 depending on skill set.
Position Summary:
Set up, operate and tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend or straighten metal.
Essential Functions:
- Perform typical press operations, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Start machines, monitor operations, and record operational data.
- Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
- Examine completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required. Clean and lubricate machines.
- Maintain work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform the following tasks: form, draw, coin, inspect, and tumble.
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement of process (scrap reduction, productivity improvements, etc.).
- Controlling Machines and Processes - Use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines and monitor processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.
- Ability to perform basic set-ups on machines and the tools that are used in them.
- Must be familiar with all the machines required to perform the tasks stated above.

- Meet physical demands of position including long periods of standing, sitting, lifting and bending.

Education and Experience:
Minimum of high school education and 3 years factory related experience in a press environment.
