Job Title: Inspector
Job Description
The Inspector will be responsible for reviewing bids for completeness, reviewing contractors license to work in the District to ensure it is up to date and that the contractor has insurance, and ensuring proper execution plans. The Inspector will also review aerial photos of the property, identify property lines, and determine the length of pipe required. They will review potential penetration locations and check for any obstructions such as retaining walls, walkways, porches, sheds, and decks. The Inspector will ensure bids cover restoration costs and, if required, visit addresses to see potential issues firsthand. They will review cost proposals to ensure conformity with the above reviews and report findings to DETS/DOEE. Fieldwork will include inspecting proper restoration and providing DC Water with an inspection report documenting the work.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in HYATTSVILLE, Maryland.
Work Environment
Onsite at DC Water HQ and in the office, working as a subcontractor to Arcadis. This position will be embedded with Arcadis almost 100% of the time. Candidates should be comfortable with this arrangement.
