Warehouse Worker
Description:
Perform generaldistribution functions including, but not limited to, picking, packing,checking, stocking, shipping/receiving orders and performing generalmaintenance duties. Operation of machinery/equipment/forklift will benecessary.
Responsibilities:
•Provide high level ofinternal and external customer service
•Monitor vendornon-compliance on receiving, shipping and forward recommendations forimprovement
•Maintain all overages,shortages, damages and concealed damages
•Communicate withdrivers/dispatch on problem trailers
•Ensure Policies andProcedures are being adhered to and enforced
•Promote a clean andsafe working environment by maintaining compliance with safety guidelines, reportingdiscrepancies and recommending corrective action to ensure safety in thewarehouse
•Support Company Healthand Safety Policies and Procedures
•Duties,responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time
•Performs other relatedduties as assigned.
Qualifications andskills:
•High School diploma orGED equivalent preferred.
•Ability to followdetailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps ascompleted.
•Required to bend,operate/adjust equipment, stack pallets, and carry materials to equipment.
•Lifting up to 50pounds on a frequent basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis.
•Ability to work in ateam environment and take ownership over area of responsibility.
•Must have ability tounderstand and carry out instructions issued in written and verbal English.
•Must have ability tocomplete required safety training.
•Must haveinterpersonal skills to work in a positive manner in a team atmosphere.
•Ability to stand forextended periods of time and move over, under, and around forklift, palletjack, and racking equipment.
•Ability to lift casesor pails of product and load them onto pallets.
•Ability to followdetailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps ascompleted.
