Job Description Wood is currently hiring for a Field / Plant Operator to join our team at our Atlas Carbon facility, located near Gillette, WY.
This positions is responsible for multiple operations within our Atlas Carbon activated carbon facility, including monitoring processing equipment, performing inspections and conducting preventive maintenance, along with other duties required to ensure optimum plant performance.
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.
Responsibilities - Work schedules are either shift work 6-6 or Monday-Friday 7-4.
- Optimize processing throughout the facility and maintain proper product specifications
- Monitoring plant equipment, taking plant samples and operating material load out equipment.
- Filling bag orders and bulk shipments with loadout equipment
- Provides communication to Plant Lead operators to ensure plant is operating at ideal levels
Qualifications - High School Diploma OR GED required
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must be able to interface effectively with co-workers and management team.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Must be capable of working at elevated heights from ladders and man lifts with proper PPE.
- Must be capable of lifting/ carrying/ pushing/ pulling up to 50 lbs
- Must be capable of vigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods of time on catwalks, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment.
- General knowledge of hand tools and proper uses is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, fit test and background check.
