  • BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY.
    Job Details
  • The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery, promotes the safety of the patient during surgery, provides assistance to the surgeon during surgery, cares for the patient during surgery and cares for the instruments and supplies used in surgery.
  • The Surgical Technologist functions to promote the safety of the patient as a member of the surgical team.
  • The incumbent possesses knowledge and skills required to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
    Job Requirements
  • Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location.
  • Floating - Travelers are the first to float. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units and locations within the organization depending on staffing needs.
  • Minimum two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Strong cardiovascular, endovascular, and peripheral vascular experience.
  • Transplant experience also required.
  • Skill checklist must include cardiovascular, endovascular ratings and peripheral vascular ratings.
  • Must have high ratings in the required skills.
  • Successfully completed a surgical technologist program.
  • Two years experience in the Surgical Technologist role may be considered in lieu of completion of program.
    Schedule Information
  • 36 hr/week, Nights, 12-hour shifts: Monday - Friday, 6:30 pm - 7:00 am (weekday rotation).
  • No call, no weekends.
