Description
Opportunity for a Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician interested in part-time Telehealth work at PeaceHealth's newest Direct Specialty Care Clinic in Vancouver, Washington (Portland metro area). This clinic will offer high-touch service to a low volume of patients.
This unique position will be based at Southwest Medical Center seeing patients virtually or via telephone--initially in Washington state and once licensed, in Oregon and Alaska as well.
The selected candidate will assess, plan, evaluate and implement patient care, provide diagnoses, recommend treatment plans, order and review labs, monitor medication changes, make referrals to medical specialists, write prescriptions, etc. Be familiar with biologic class of medications in all use scenarios. Work collaboratively with other members of PeaceHealth Medical Group to ensure that quality care is delivered appropriately, adequately and with compassion. The new physician will needto be comfortable with process improvement and contributing to growing the practice because this is a new clinic.
PeaceHealths community of health care professionals in the Vancouver area include PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, a 450-bed tertiary-level hospital, a multitude of primary care and urgent care clinics as well as most specialty services. PeaceHealth Medical Group, a multi-specialty group with over 1,300 physicians and clinicians serves communities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
First year salary amount: $170,922.00. Live and work in Washington state and there is no personal income tax.

Job Summary
Demonstrates compassion, respect and caring while working within the scope of practice of Physician to provide safe and efficient care to patients and assistance to their families and visitors. Works collaboratively with all other healthcare team members toward the best outcomes for the patient and the organization. Provides professional services to the hospital and its patients.
Essential Functions
- Practice of medicine within the scope of license, training and credentialing.
- Practice of medicine in accordance with the current standards of care as well as the quality criteria adopted by the clinic.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients served by demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.

Qualifications
Education
- Accredited School of Medicine Required: . And
- Required: completion of Internship/Residency Program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease or Rheumatology.
Experience
- Required: Computer experience
Credentials
- Required : Licensed to practice as a physician in Washington State (currently or within credentialing period).
- Required: Ability to obtain licenses in Oregon and Washington following start date
- Board certified or board eligible and
- Required : Drug Enforcement Admin Federal Number and
- Required : Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical management of patients. (Required)
- Maintains current knowledge and skills with continuing education. (Required)
- Must meet all training requirements for specific department. (Required)
- Able to work varied hours; rigorous on-call and call-back schedule. (Required)
- Must not be a practitioner excluded from participation in the Medicare or Medicaid program. (Required)

Working Conditions
Lifting
- Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH).
- Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
- Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally.
- Ability to move around area with frequent sitting.
- Bending/ stooping / reaching occasionally.
- Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
Environmental Conditions
- Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
- Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting.
Mental/Visual
- Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
