Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Medical Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Overlook Medical Center
 
Atlantic Health System (AHS) is seeking a board certified, experienced gynecologic oncologist who can provide consistent, compassionate, high-quality, safe, patient-centric care, personalized to every patient.  The successful candidate will possess clinical abilities as demonstrated through training, education, certification, and experience, strong interpersonal communication, leadership, and organizational skills. This employed academic position will be responsible for growing the gynecologic oncology program and practice at Overlook Medical Center. As the full-time gynecologic oncologist at Overlook, you will join a high volume and robust division with 4 other board certified gynecologic oncologists, all of whom rotate at Overlook as staff physicians. Together, they perform radical, MIS, and robotic surgery as well as administer chemotherapy at both Overlook and Morristown Medical Centers. This program is highly regarded, as evidenced by the multiple clinical and quality accolades it annually receives. Our OB/GYN residency program, spanning both hospitals, is an integral part of the division. This position is primarily located at Overlook Medical Center, Summit, NJ and is 80% clinical and 20% administrative.

Qualifications:

  • Must be Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
  • 5+ years experience is required
  • Leadership and program development background is required
  • Research background in enrolling and managing patients on clinical trials; Phase 1 and/or investigator-initiated research experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven group
  • Open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical expertise
  • Chemotherapy administration credentialing-eligible
