Our client in Minden is looking for a Deburr Worker! We're searching for a self-motivated candidate who is looking for a home to learn and grow. Under the general direction of the Production Manager, the Deburrer is responsible forperforming various deburring activities including removing burrs and chips frommachined parts in a timely and effective manner. Washes, rinses, and dries parts thathave been deburred and polished, moves finished product to next work center. Otherrelated duties as assigned.This position will run Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm and will pay anywhere from $18 to $21.45/hr depending on experience! Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for deburring and polishing machined parts, utilizing a work bench, compressed air, hand tools, and small power tools. 2. Visual inspection of various machined parts to ensure precision deburring and rectifying problem areas. 3. Responsible for promptly reporting deviations or nonconformities in dimensional materials to the supervisor. 4. Visually inspects various components to ensure precision deburring standards have been met. Conducts a quality check of all deburring plates prior to releasing to Assembly Department. Responsible for reporting anything abnormal to the Assistant Production Manager or Production Manager. 5. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of daily production, obtaining and completing necessary forms and records as required. 6. Move parts that are properly deburred to washroom. 7. Responsible for maintaining company equipment, tools and personal work area in a neat, clean organized manner. 8. Responsible for keeping Production Manager informed of any problems that may affect production or equipment. Report any broken or damaged equipment to the supervisor or manager as soon as noticed. 9. Responsible for always following safety procedures and advising the Production Manager of any safety related issues. Must wear PPE Personal Protective Equipment designated for that particular job at all times. 10. Other related duties as assigned. Requirements: - Must possess a reasonable degree of hand-eye coordination in order to effectively utilize tools required for the job. Ability to learn part names, part numbers and deburring procedures and apply that knowledge in a timely manner. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment an asset but not essential. - Demonstrate dedication towards satisfactory attendance and punctuality. Understanding of the importance of quality and consistently demonstrate a commitment towards the same. Ability to effectively get along with co-workers and work as a team member. - Effective communication skills with the ability to accurately follow direction, both oral and written, and get along well with others. Attention to detail, accuracy and flexibility are a must. Basic computer skills with ability to perform data entry for recording inventory. - Physical ability to lift up to 60 lb and push a cart weighing up to 600 lb.
