Our ideal candidate will oversee and coordinate daily operations at various job sites to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction methods, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role is based out of Knoxville, TN, and involves traveling to various sites in the region-relocation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all aspects of construction projects at water/wastewater plants, pump stations, and civil construction sites.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, laborers, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry, particularly in water/wastewater plants, pump stations, or civil construction.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred).
