As the Maintenance Mechanic A at PennEngineering, you'll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things.nnJoin us as we build the future in Manufacturing and Engineering!nnPERKS AND BENEFITS:nnMedical & Employer Paid: Dental and VisionnParental Leaven401k and Employer MatchnPaid time off and holidaysnTuition reimbursementnPaid On the Job TrainingnPerformance incentive bonusesnCommunity VolunteeringnTalent Referral Bonus ProgramnEmployee Centric Culturen1 st and 2 nd shift opportunitiesnAir-conditioned work environmentnOnsite GymnnRequirementsnnWHAT YOU WILL DO:nnTroubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems related to the production equipment.nAs a team member or independently, as required, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical machinery problems.nCreate and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines.nAbility to work with machinery drawings and specifications, electrical schematics, machine manuals or other forms of assembled data.nPerforms daily responsibilities in coordination with company and departmental work instructions.nFabricates needed components as needed.nDemonstrates proficiencies in pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC, electrical controls, AC/DC drive motors, machine component clearances / fits and an overall understanding machine operation and function.nMaintains an active inventory of spare parts to maximize machine efficiency while minimizing costs.nCompletes preventative machine maintenance as assigned.nProfessionally communicates / collaborates with all team members and machine set up operators to improve the overall operation of the manufacturing areas.nDemonstrates safe and efficient operating skills of machine shop equipment, such as milling machine, surface grinder, lathes, etc.nDemonstrates safe and efficient operating skills of fabricating equipment, such as welders, grinders, torches, etc.nOrganizes and maintains tools, equipment and work area to efficiently and effectively repair shopfloor equipment.nMaintains accurate records of equipment repairs.nProvides positive approach to problem solving to minimize machine downtime and prevent reoccurrence.nMaintains a clean and safe work area.nCommunicates with Team Leader and/or Supervisor regularly.nCompletes internal / external work orders safely and effectively.nSet up or operate machines, where necessary.nPerform other duties as required.nnWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:nnHigh school diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience in industrial maintenance.nExperience troubleshooting PLCs and Ladder logic.nExperience working with Hydraulics, motors and pumps.nFabrications experience preferred.nStrong mechanical skills and aptitude.nKnowledge of hand tools and usage of them.nGeneral ability to perform machining tasks using lathe, surface grinder, and Bridgeport.nKnowledge of electricity and wiring and the ability to read electrical schematics and use test instruments on circuits up to 480 volts.nAbility to weld, solder, braze and flame cut under general instruction and supervision.nAbility to work unscheduled shifts as needed to support production.nGood organizational skills.nnPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:nnAbility to lift up to 100 lbs.nAbility to work with non-hazardous oils and solvents.nVisual acuity for detailed work.nAbility to read and interpret manuals, instructions, procedures, etc.nnOur commitment to Diversity, Equity and Belonging (DEB) endeavors to create a safe space for all employees and customers, regardless of age, race, sex, gender identity, national origin, or religion.
