Apply today!nnWatch this video to see how you can make a difference caring for Pennsylvania's veterans working for the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs!nnDESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Therapeutic Activities Worker develops formal therapeutic recreation care plans by assessing resident functional levels, strengths, needs, interests, and abilities. These plans may include arts and crafts, drama and dance, exercise and sports, or literature and music. It is necessary to continually evaluate and modify programming to meet individual needs. You will also plan, organize, and assist with various on and off-grounds therapeutic recreation programs and events.nnInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.nnWork Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch. You will work every other weekend with rotating holidays. Hours may be flexed based on operational needs. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYnnQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of experience providing therapeutic activities for individuals with physical, medical, or cognitive disabilities; or A bachelor's degree with major coursework in therapeutic recreation; physical education; vocational rehabilitation; vocational education or counseling; art, music, dance, or occupational therapies; or a related human services field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.nnOther Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
