The Opportunity:nnAs an Industrial Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. You will also perform mechanical and electrical work under the general supervision of an Industrial Maintenance Technician III. Must have working knowledge and ability to perform all tasks as specified within the Industrial Maintenance Technician I description in addition to those specified within this description as you will support, and guide employees classified as Industrial Maintenance Technician I.nnHow you will impact Victory: a Smurfit WestRock company:nnUnderstanding and demonstrating the behavior that the safety of yourself and other coworkers is paramount and is the #1 priority here at Smurfit WestRock.nnDiagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown.nnInspect mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.nnRepair as needed mechanical or electrical systems to include repairing or replacing malfunctioning components.nnRepair as needed industrial material handling equipment to include battery operated as well as IC units up to but not including the most complex.nnRepair as needed basic electrical breakdowns.nnCalibrate or adjust electronic equipment or instruments to specifications.nnInstall or replace meters, regulators or related measuring control devices.nnInstall equipment or attachments as needed on machinery or related structures.nnUnderstand mechanical drawings with the ability to determine the correct parts needed for repair.nnUnderstand and use computer software for documenting all daily activity including submitting accurate parts requests.nnRespond to mechanical or basic electrical emergencies during non-standard business hours.nnResponsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.nnWork in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.nnPerform other duties as assigned.nnWhat you need to succeed:nnProven experience in the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.nnExperience in basic electrical troubleshooting.nnComputer experience/operation.nnTroubleshoot with or up to PLC.nnHigh degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.nnAbility to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.nnMust be highly safety conscious.nnHigh school diploma or equivalent experience required.nnApply advanced skills in the use of hand tools both powered and manual.nnSet up and operate a variety of machine tools such as drill press, lathe, or welding equipment.nnOperate maintenance vehicles including but not limited to; aerial lifts, personnel transport vehicles, and forklifts.nnIndependently perform mechanical maintenance, repair, installation and testing functions on all but the most sophisticated equipment.nnUse electronic calibration devices.nnUse control or regulating devices to adjust or maintain industrial machinery.nnConduct tests in order to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical equipment.nnMaintain or repair small engines or motors.nnOperate various tools, instruments and equipment used in the testing and repairs of mechanical equipment.nnRepair or replace malfunctioning or worn mechanical equipment.nnWork independently in the absence of supervision.nnUnderstand and follow oral or written instructions.nnCommunicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.nn#victorynnSmurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
