MEI's CDL Drivers are a part of a rigging crew responsible for driving equipment to customer sites and working with heavy equipment at customer plants and construction sites.
This is a Monday - Friday 40+ hours per week local role.
**The MEI office is located approximately 17 miles from downtown Reno (east) off the I-80 Patrick exit (before the Tesla exit) onto Waltham way.
• Routinely hauls oversize/overweight loads.
• Drives safely and under DOT regulations tractor & trailer rigs to transport equipment and crews to job sites.
• Requires safe handling of loads, securement of loads, loading and unloading of equipment.
• Dismantles and store rigging equipment after use.
• Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment - Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor trailers, telehandlers, aerial boom lifts, etc.
• Basic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.)
• Experienced knowledge of load securing and safe hauling practices
• Ability to use tape measure; hand, power and pneumatic tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Valid Class A CDL and clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Minimum two (2) years driving experience at CDL level with Van and Flatbeds/must have experience with manual transmissions
• Minimum one(1) year industrial experience or comparable experience within the construction service industry.
