Title:nnMedSSI: Patient Administrative Technician (TCN)nnBelong, Connect, Grow with KBR!nnPROGRAM SUMMARY:nnThe Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) works in support of the Department of State to provide medical support services. The primary scope of this program is to execute medical support services at the United States Embassy and adjacent facilities in the Middle East.nnPOSITION SUMMARY:nnThe Patient Administrative Technician provides a range of medical support services in areas such as medical technologist and transcriptionist, ultrasound, medical records, health information, medical illustrators, occupational therapists, and phlebotomists.nnRESPONSIBILITIES:nnProvide a range of services to include patient services such as diagnostic imaging, test and evaluate patients’ physical and mental abilities, collect patient specimen, and work with other health professionals to provide required office/laboratory procedures.nnServices that are not directly patient care related include maintaining medical records, transcribing medical data provided by healthcare professionals, and provide medical illustrations.nnPerforms routine assignments in the entry level to a professional job progression.nnDevelops competence by performing structured work assignments.nnUses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.nnReceives instruction, guidance and direction from others.nnMay require flight physical.nnRequires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within a discipline.nnApplies general knowledge of industry developed through education or past experience.nnBegins acquiring disciplinary knowledge within the context of specific DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and engineering requirements.nnNo mentoring or advisory responsibilities; accountable for developing own technical contribution.nnUses existing procedures to solve standard problems; analyses information and standard practices to make judgments.nnHas limited impact on own work team; works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.nnExchanges straightforward information asks questions and checks for understanding.nnNo formal supervisory responsibility; works under team lead direction.nnBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:nnRequires a college or university degree.nnPlatform specific training/military qualifications. Typically requires 4 to 7 years of relevant experience within the program.nnSpecific contract requirements will prevail.nnMust be medically fit and willing to travel CONUS and OCONUSnnMust be able to lift 50lbsnnMust possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 13 months of remaining validity AND 6 blank visa/stamp pages remainingnnMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluentlynnCandidates must also meet CENTCOM MOD (Fit for Duty) theater requirements.nnMust currently possess or be able to obtain prior to being hired as is required for this position a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance and/or a favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
