Maintenance Technician Class IV
- Under the supervision and direction of the Maintenance Manager, the duties of the Maintenance Technician Class III will include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrated ability to perform all duties of a Maintenance Class III.
- In addition, must demonstrate the ability to:
- Perform complex troubleshooting skills and programming of PLC's, VFD's, and other electronic control equipment.
- Perform GMAW, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Perform maintenance and installation of High Voltage power wiring (480-volt 3 phase)
- Coordinate and assist with spare parts ordering and inventory.
- Demonstrated knowledge of more complex computing skills using word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to fabricate parts and assemblies to sanitary design standards.
- Demonstrate a constant ethic towards continuous improvement in machinery and systems.
- Advanced understanding of electrical systems, PLC's (programmable logic controllers), HMI's (human-machine interfaces), and/or drives.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess: - Previous industrial maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Possess the ability to use tools such as common hand and power tools, hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
- Must supply own hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
- Ability to lift 80 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to work various shifts and weekends.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must hold a valid State of Wisconsin driver's license.
- The desired candidate will demonstrate a willingness to expand their maintenance skills through experience and training. Both in-house and external training.
- Show a willingness to advance to higher job classifications within the department by demonstrating skill, initiative, and ability.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must strictly adhere to all company employee & food safety rules and policies.
- Comply and strictly adhere to all applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Regulations.
- Punctuality and reliability will be key factors to advancement.
- Perform all duties assigned by management.
- Respond to immediate repairs in a timely manner.
- Support the facility's food safety & quality programs.
