Maintenance Technician Class IV

  • Under the supervision and direction of the Maintenance Manager, the duties of the Maintenance Technician Class III will include but are not limited to:
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all duties of a Maintenance Class III.
  • In addition, must demonstrate the ability to:
  • Perform complex troubleshooting skills and programming of PLC's, VFD's, and other electronic control equipment.
  • Perform GMAW, TIG, and Stick welding.
  • Perform maintenance and installation of High Voltage power wiring (480-volt 3 phase)
  • Coordinate and assist with spare parts ordering and inventory.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of more complex computing skills using word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to fabricate parts and assemblies to sanitary design standards.
  • Demonstrate a constant ethic towards continuous improvement in machinery and systems.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical systems, PLC's (programmable logic controllers), HMI's (human-machine interfaces), and/or drives.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Previous industrial maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Possess the ability to use tools such as common hand and power tools, hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Must supply own hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to work various shifts and weekends.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must hold a valid State of Wisconsin driver's license.
  • The desired candidate will demonstrate a willingness to expand their maintenance skills through experience and training. Both in-house and external training.
  • Show a willingness to advance to higher job classifications within the department by demonstrating skill, initiative, and ability.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must strictly adhere to all company employee & food safety rules and policies.
  • Comply and strictly adhere to all applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Regulations.
  • Punctuality and reliability will be key factors to advancement.
  • Perform all duties assigned by management.
  • Respond to immediate repairs in a timely manner.
  • Support the facility's food safety & quality programs.
