This job was posted by : For more information, please see: 3-21-2022nnNORTHERN ARIZONA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTSnn(NACOG)nnTEACHERnnDepartment: Head StartnnBand: 9, 12, 15nnFLSA Status: Non-Exempt (9), Exempt (12, 15)nnReports to: Center DirectornnPOSITION SUMMARY:nnWorking under general supervision and with moderate difficulty, this posi?on is responsible for instruc?ngnnpreschool-aged children in ac?vi?es designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.nnESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:nnInstructs children and facilitates developmentally appropriate ac?vi?es to encourage growth innnall areas of childhood developmentnnDevelops and maintains trus?ng rela?onships with children and families to ensure a successfulnnlearning environmentnnDevelops and implements weekly lesson plans to ensure program compliancennAssigns du?es to staff and monitors work to ensure a successful learning environmentnnCompletes and submits paperwork (logs, reports) to document program compliancennCleans and prepares classrooms regularly to ensure a safe, healthy learning environmentnnCompletes regular playground and classroom inspec?on checklists to ensure a safe, healthynnlearning environmentnnConducts health screenings for Head Start children (vision, hearing, mental health, and physicalnnhealth)nnPlans and conducts parent-teacher conferences to establish and assess progress toward familynngoalsnnOther related du?es as assigned.nnEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:nnLevel I: Childhood Development Associate Creden?al (CDA) that is age appropriate to the children beingnnserved; or a state-awarded cer?ficate for preschool teachers that meets or exceeds the requirement for annCDA.nnLevel II: Associate degree in Early Childhood Educa?on or Child Development; or an Associate Degree in annfiled related to Early Childhood Educa?on or child Development with experience teaching preschoolnnchildren and a State-awarded cer?ficate to teach in a preschool program.nn(Approved: 3-21-2022nnTEACHER . . .
