About the Role Utilizing technology and quality management systems, the Quality Technician strives to improve, test, and document product conformance with requirements.
Essential Function / Duties* Metrology
- Use measuring equipment for its intended use and document the results.
Quality Control
- Perform acceptance activities supporting multiple activities (e.g. receiving, in-process, final inspection, & documentation).
- Read inspection requirements, utilize manual gauges, operate vision systems, CMMs.
- Create and approve customer certificates of conformance.
- Document nonconformance of goods and services.
- Review and audit medical device records for comprehensiveness.
- Complete records using good documentation practices.
- Execute document and record control activities.
Quality Assurance
- Support implementation and execution of lean manufacturing methods.
- Assist in process validations and gauge repeatability studies.
- Document work instructions within the Quality Management System.
- Implement and support a process to determine inspection method validation requirements (GR&R).
- Assist in the investigation, root cause analysis, planning, and execution of activities within the CAPA system.

Work Schedule / Supervision Position: Full-time: 40 hours/week, potential for more.
Position Status: Non-exempt position; with compensation and without notice
Recommended Education / Experience Education: High school education, post-secondary education in manufacturing technology or laboratory sciences preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in manufacturing technology or laboratory sciences; familiarity with inspection tools and processes is preferred.
