Maintenance Technician I
Job Summary: Repairs, adjustments and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Be a creative and proactive contributor, focused on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Performs electrical, welding, painting, plumbing, and/or carpentry repairs.• Troubleshoots and conduct periodic inspections to determine Maintenance work required.• Follows Preventive maintenance instructions and ensures that the records for such are properly documented.• May perform or assist in the installation, relocation and reinstallation of new and/or existing equipment.• May perform or assist in the repair and maintenance of support equipment that includes but is not limited to, air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems, HVAC, and DI water Systems.• Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.• • Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Requirements:
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software. • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Ivy's software packages. • Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or 2-step instructions. • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.• • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products and e-mail skills required.
Education Requirements:
Technical certification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related field.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to stand and walk or otherwise traverse in order to be accessible to the production floor for extended periods of time. The person in this position will be required to regularly exert at least 10 lbs. of force to push, pull or otherwise move objects and may be required to carry or lift objects up to 50 lbs. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and/or documents; viewing a computer terminal; and/or visual inspection of products or machinery. The person in this position may need to occasionally sit, type, climb stairs, bend, reach, kneel, or twist for minimal periods of time. Employees should not attempt to lift, pull or push a load in excess of 50 lbs. without assistance. Care should always be taken when lifting, pushing or pulling in an awkward position.
