We are looking for talented and innovative individuals to join our team! The Maintenance Technician provides on-site technical support by trouble shooting and repairing equipment and performing routine preventative maintenance. This role diagnoses technical problems or errors and works to determine proper solutions. The Maintenance Mechanic also manages on-site activities such as installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks. Able to recognize equipment operational deficiencies and make recommendations for repairs.
Dimensions of Position: - Perform maintenance repair and improvement activities on process line equipment.
- Perform regular PM, clean & lube shafts, bearings & gears to eliminate down time with production.
- Perform minor building HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs as necessary to facility.
- Technician must be willing to lead and train other associates in proper procedures and safety.
- Assist in all maintenance aspects of new equipment installations.
- Track mechanical performance
- Written & verbal communication to obtain solution
- Implement solution & follow up on solution outcomes
- Complies with quality management system including adherence to procedures and development of Product Documentation for safe and effective Assembly and Use.
Qualifications & Experience: - High school diploma/GED and 3+ years technical maintenance experience on automation/PLC controls with industrial maintenance, mechanical, electronic systems & PC controls
- Must be a highly flexible individual that can adjust to changes quickly
- Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
- Experience in interfacing controls, processes and feedback devices
- Experience working in and on shop equipment such as: cranes, hoist, saws, power tool and hand tools etc. Not limited to operation of forklifts and scissor lifts in safe manner.
- Ability to pass welding test in Mig and stick welding.
- Knowledgeable in hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic repairs and adjustments as required (both AC & DC up to 600V).
Physical Requirements: - Some local travel as needed
- Continuously stand, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, etc.
- Use hands/arms to pick and carry product and operate required equipment.
- Lift objects up to 35 lbs.
