The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the EDCOAT, LLC Maintenance team. This full-time, non-exempt position is based in New Carlisle, IN and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. We have an opening on night shift. This individual is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment for a coil coating, slitting, and warehousing facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Performing routine maintenance on paint line ovens, high temperature-hot water (HTHW) systems, wastewater treatment and auxiliary equipment including but not limited to inspections, installations, removal, lubrication, cleaning, and related functions as required to support the production process.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Communicating and working with other maintenance and production personnel to accomplish all maintenance and repair tasks in a timely and safe manner.
- Reviewing and inspecting any repairs or modifications made to equipment performed by others.
- Maintaining accurate and timely written records to communicate maintenance and repair activities to other shifts and the Maintenance Manager.
- Sending source documents to the front office to comply with State and Federal recordkeeping.
- Performing roll grinding to eliminate defects in paint rolls.
- Implementing preventative maintenance schedule on all EDCOAT, LLC equipment and systems, so that malfunctions and breakdowns are minimized.
- Running wastewater treatment operation.
- Perform housekeeping duties, as necessary.
- Assist in packaging of finished product as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Able to pass pre employment drug screen and background check
- 3-5 years previous maintenance experience required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing processes and equipment repair.
Physical Demands The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- The ability to lift (from floor to waist level), push, and pull 75 pounds.
- The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on concrete surfaces with regular periods of stooping, bending, or sitting.
Working Environment - EDCOAT utilizes four crews on a 2-2-3 to allow for 24/7 operations.
- A/B (Days) 4am-4pm
- C/D (Nights) 4pm-4am
- The schedule follows a 14-day repetitive cycle with employees working 12-hour shifts as follows: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
