SUMMARY OF POSITION Repairs, maintains, and keeps the factory machines running. Installs electrical equipment and systems according to blueprints and schematics. Locates and determines electrical malfunctions. Tests and inspects electrical equipment, circuits, and wiring for safety and efficiency. Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, assembles, inspects, lubricates, and makes adjustments on mechanical and hydraulic equipment and parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Electrical Skills: Lights and Ballast installation and replacement. Maintain Lighting and light maintenance at each location. Fixes and installs electrical systems and equipment, such as running power from 480V 3 phase bus plug to machines or disconnects.
- Mechanical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot a machine that is down and determine proper repair. Performs periodic duties such as routine lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of machinery.
- Tests and inspects circuits and wiring for specified shielding and grounding and rewire system according to building codes and safety regulations.
- Performs all maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and air support system.
- Inspects equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, cracks, looseness, excess dirt, etc. Monthly Exit light inspection/repair, fire extinguisher inspection and eye wash stations.
- Ability to quickly attend to emergency repairs - for example, electrical fires and machine breakdowns.
- Repairs forklifts and hoists.
- Fixes plumbing malfunctions in the plant's facilities.
- Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS Education - High school diploma or GED.
Experience - Must have at least one year of vocational electrical training (or a related occupation equivalent) and 3 years' experience in machine repair or must meet all above qualifications.
Specific Skills/Abilities - Must be able to read and interpret electrical blueprint and schematics.
- Must have a good knowledge of all plant machinery and their operations.
- Ability to repair and install electrical and mechanical parts under a minimum amount of direction.
- Electrical and Hydraulic experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Physical Activities include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing for significant periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking or pinching, grasping, perceive attributes of objects, conveys with other workers, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Physical Requirements exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT - Duties are occasionally performed under conditions such as dust, dirt, heat, cold, and fumes. Duties are frequently performed under noisy conditions. There is occasional exposure to cuts and abrasions. Observation Acuity standard is the minimum for machine operators, where the inspection of the job is at or within an arm's reach.
Motor Vehicle Requirements - Must maintain a current driver's license with the state of residence
