Job Description
Title: Die Cutter Operator
Reports to: Technical Manager
Summary: Operates Specialized Machine to produce "Best In Class" packaging for domestic and international use.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS OVERVIEW:
Operates Die Cutter Machine to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications.
Operate Die Cutter machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation.
Prepares Die Cutter by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by adjusting the die and register for pressure and cutting.
By performing a variety of make ready tasks utilizing quick and easy settings for high productivity and precision operations, resolves any defects and adjustments to produce high quality product.
Oversee General Technicians working on equipment.
Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.
Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading.
QUALITY:
Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy. Makes sure jobs are complete and error free.
Ensures finished product exceeds customer expectations. Ensure all checklists are completed.
Complies with cGMP, HACCP Food Safety Requirements and Chain of Custody Program Requirements.
OHSE AND CLEAN:
Ensures complete adherence and compliance t o the OHSE and Clean polocies. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment.
Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, personal protection and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines.
Follows all personal protection procedures by use of appropriate personal
protective equipment at all times while in designated areas and specific tasks requiring the use of PPE.
Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.
Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy.
Use company provided safety lifting equipment, i.e., hoist, jacks, vacuum
manipulators, etc.
On a regular basis, examines work areas to keep it in a safe and neat condition. Properly stores and arranges work to maintain cleanliness and safe environment following all safety rules and regulations for grounding, storage, spill clean-up, etc.
Effectively demonstrates the ability to maintain work area in a safe and proper working order coaching crew in safe work practices.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Interacts with the team and co-workers in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation and contributes to excellent performance.
Communicates accurate information to all team members in a professional and courteous manner that conveys a willingness to assist.
Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.

Create and maintain a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation.
Develop the team and encourage each member to do what needs to be done, correctly and efficiently. Get it right the first time.
Communicates regularly with team toward goals and required results, providing specific feedback and initiating corrective action when goals or results are not met.
Motivate crew to improve quantity and quality of work performed and provide training as required.
Consistently uses appropriate established channels of communication. Conduct team meetings when necessary.
Must be able to perform any and all work or additional tasks as required or requested by Department Leads, Shift Leads, or Management.
Requirements:
High School diploma (or GED).
Must have interpersonal and communication skills.
Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures.
Physical Demands:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.
Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs. is required.
Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.
Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination Must be able to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
