American Bancshares Mortgage (ABSM) is seeking a diligent and motivated
Senior Loan Processor to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organization and communication skills and a value of providing superior customer service to internal and external customers. The
Senior Loan Processor may be involved in one or several types of mortgage lending to include Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and Bond loan programsetc.
Job Duties: - Serve as subject matter expert (SME) regarding ABSM's policies, procedures, products, promotions, and technology.
- Follow all Service Level Agreements (SLA's) set forth by Management.
- Processors will retrieve, assign, and review all docs within the Encompass eFolder buckets.
- Successfully manage and maintain a multi-state pipeline of loans.
- Conduct daily review and follow-up with customers and vendors regarding outstanding items; gather necessary documentation as needed.
- Communicate with Management if unable to achieve a timeline or to resolve an error.
- Escalate any fraud files to Risk Management Leadership Team.
- Manage key dates, for example, lock expiration, contingency date, contract date, credit doc expiration, ECOA, MDIA and other compliance related dates.
- Perform data entry to update all internal systems, while maintaining a detailed timeline regarding all communication and actions that affect the loan in accordance with company requirements.
- Maintain contact with customer, Sales Team (including Branch Manager, Loan Officer, and Loan Officer Assistants) to provide status updates on weekly basis and as needed to move milestones in required turn times.
- Review title reports, payoffs, appraisals, income documents, hazard insurance, and all supporting conditions for required standard compliance prior to underwriter submission.
- Analysis and evaluate loan application and documents.
- Complete all required ABSMU continuing education courses on time.
- Follow procedures set for by Management regarding closing disclosure procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Encompass LOS experience is required.
- At least five (5) years of recent Retail Lending processing experience and have extensive knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and Bond loan programs.
- Experience with DU, DO, LP and GUS systems
- Working knowledge of various fraud tools (DataVerify, LoanSafe Fraud Manager, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment and be held to minimum production standards.
- High integrity and outstanding work ethic required.
