Inspired Every Day.nnFull-Time, DaysnnPay Rate - $24.00 / hourlynnESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSnnAccept work orders for repairs to buildings, equipment or grounds and complete them according to priority assigned by Regional Facility Manager.nnLocate, inspect, troubleshoot and initiate repairs.nnResponsible for physical plant including painting, snow removal, and grounds work.nnResponsible for purchasing materials and equipment for maintenance repairs.nnRequired to use own vehicle to travel between all ESLC facilities. Follows all ESLC driving policies to include maintaining a valid NYS driver’s license.nnAssists with preventive maintenance work assignments regarding the cleaning and servicing of induction unit filters, refrigeration coils and air conditioning coils.nnWork on preventive maintenance for HVAC equipment and make daily rounds.nnAssist with monthly safety check of equipment and follow-up to ensure that repairs were made.nnReceive new equipment, inspect, record pertinent information, and put into service, observing all requirements and codes of all bodies having jurisdiction.nnConsult all code manuals and confer with the Regional Facility Manager on all newnnInstallations when installations present electrical, mechanical or logistical problems.nnTake the lead for all renovations that can be accomplished in-house.nnAttend all staff meetings and in-services as scheduled.nnWear departmental uniform on a daily basis.nnMeet the attendance, punctuality, in-service and health assessment requirements as outlined in the performance appraisal.nnAssist in fire alarm testing and fire drills.nnTest the emergency generator as needednnParticipates in the On Call rotation.nnMay have building related janitorial work that may involve regular or back up janitorial work during staffing shortages.nnExhibits knowledge of maintenance, security and safety policies of ESLC.nnRequirementsnnQUALIFICATIONS:nnMust possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma.nnMust have a minimum of five years experience in a maintenance position.nnMust possess own transportation and valid New York State driver’s license for use of ESLC or private vehicle to conduct company business.nnAbility to recognize and address problems. Ability to read and interpret technical instructions.nnCapable of operating all tools and equipment associated with task at hand.nnAbility to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and the general public.nnPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
