Rize Credit Union is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Real Estate Department. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the mortgage loan process from application through funding, ensuring timely and compliant processing.
Verify and explain regulatory loan disclosures, ensuring all stipulations are met.
Collaborate with underwriters and applicants to gather necessary documentation, such as income verification, credit reports, and property evaluations.
Provide regular updates to applicants, escrow agents, and real estate agents to ensure clear communication throughout the loan process.
Review and analyze all loan documentation, including appraisals, titles, insurance forms, and more.
Coordinate funding activities with settlement agents and manage the loan pipeline.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including TILA-RESPA, ECOA, and HMDA.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience processing first mortgage loans for a bank, credit union, or mortgage company.
Strong understanding of real estate regulations, including Truth in Lending, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
Experience with FHA and VA loans is preferred.
High school diploma required.
Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
