SummarynnEnsures the safety and integrity of facilities and equipment by operating, maintaining, setting up, assembling, and repairing a wide variety of manufacturing equipment, building systems, grounds, and materials handling.nnEssential Job Duties:nnKnow, comply, and help other employees understand all safety rules and procedures.nnEnsure preventative maintenance schedules are followed to ensure minimal downtime.nnTroubleshoot and repair complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures on industrial equipmentnnInstall and perform needed maintenance including shop lights, fans, and electric motors. equipment.nnPerform wiring installs of plant equipment, circuit breaker systems, and other general electrical maintenance as needed in adherence with codes, standards, and safety protocols.nnPerform a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, or plastering as needed for buildings or grounds.nnSafely operate a variety of hand tools including, torches, basic welding equipment, various meters and gauges, chop saws, band saws, drills, drill presses, etc.nnRead, understand, and work from blueprints, shop drawings, schematics, and sketches.nnMaintain and update equipment and service records, provide timely feedback to the supervisor on the status of open issues, and report new work needs, especially safety concerns to management immediately.nnComply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, plans, and regulations.nnOperate a forklift according to applicable safety standards, instructions, and training.nnPerform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.nnRequired Qualifications - Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)nnThis position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.nnMust have five or more years of progressively responsible electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.nnMust be a journeyman-level electrician, plumber, or millwright, or have equivalent experience to work on complex high- and low-voltage equipment, circuitry, drives, and controllers.nnKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities - May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position.nnProficient in Microsoft Office products - specifically Excel, and Outlook.nnAbility to read blueprints, shop drawings, schematics, and sketches.nnProficient in shop mathnnWorking knowledge of electronics, controllers, electrical motors, drives, and general circuitrynnStrong working knowledge of high-voltage equipment and safe repair and maintenance.nnWorking knowledge of safe heavy-capacity lifting, moving, and rigging techniquesnnAbility to work independently and communicate with supervisors and employees who use the equipment.nnAbility to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.nnAny basic or advanced industrial maintenance certification is a plusnnWork Environment - Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.nnGeneral manufacturing environment that is subject to extremes in hot and cold, climate and weather conditions, and dust and waste materials around equipment.nnThe work will be proximate to various types of metal cutting and processing equipment with moving parts.nnOverhead cranes and gantry cranes are used extensively for moving large parts and assemblies.nnParts and subassemblies are typically large with weights up to 10,000 lbs.nnWelding operations occur throughout the plant and caution must be used to anticipate and avoid damage to eyes.nnTrip and slip hazards result from the conduct of manufacturing operations, stairs, and uneven terrain.nnEquipment and certain operations such as grinding and gouging periodically occur which generate a high level of noise.nnMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, proper clothing, hearing protection) always and other protective gear (such as goggles, auto darkening weld helmets, Etc.) to be employed based on the task being performed.nnPhysical Abilities - Activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
