Located just outside of Chicago, our Melrose Park location is part of our Meat division and creates batter blends, pastry blends, and bread crumbs. About the role Union plant:
The starting wage for this role is $30.38 per hour. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
Shift: Nights: 8:00pm - 6:00am Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Key responsibilities - Perform routine inspections and maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems and production related equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment.
- Complete routine and non-routine work orders.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities utilizing SAP.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling
- equipment in performing duties.
- Ensure all safety regulations are followed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills - High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Certified electrical training Basic PC skills
- Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to lift and move heavy objects.
