Job Summary:
The FSQA Technician (QA) will assist the Quality Manager in maintaining quality checks on raw materials and finished goods, micro plating, sensory testing, batch approval, regulatory paperwork, and GMPs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform the quality inspection functions for finished products to assure product quality and package integrity is within specifications
- Maintain all documentation associated with quality checks.
- Monitor all quality checks made by production
- Inspect incoming ingredients as needed.
- Maintain Q.A. equipment and area cleanliness to ensure compliance with all GMP standards.
- Ensure all parameters of food safety and quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the facility.
- Assist with batching chemicals/ingredients for production
- Collect in-process and finished product samples
- Creating and maintaining complete, accurate records of all testing performed.
- Assure GMP, HACCP, and SOP's are complying
- Sanitation/Housekeeping
- QA monitoring and recording assistance
- Batching & Processing assistance
- Uphold SQF requirements including promotion of a strong & positive food safety culture
- Active involvement in implementation, upkeep and continuous improvement of food safety as part of an interdisciplinary team

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough working knowledge of all current OSHA and Safety Standards
- Attention to detail
- Must work well in teams and demonstrate behavior conducive to promoting strong teamwork
- Must possess a positive attitude in a fast-paced production environment
- Must be punctual, on site and ready for work at scheduled hours
Education and Experience:
- High School degree or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a Production environment required
- Previous experience in food manufacturing preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts
- Perform repetitive or continue behavior including lifting 20-30 pounds
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Frequent bending, crouching, or twisting
- Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and temperature extremes to complete work assignments
Ability to work in fast-paced production environment
6:00am-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday)
8:00pm-6:30am (Monday-Thursday)
