We are currently seeking a proactive and dynamic Permanent Production Manager to join our ever-growing team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our production operations, ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently. This role will require a highly experienced professional with a strong background in RTE, food, deli meat, GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, SQF, and Continuous Improvement. If you are a strategic thinker and problem-solver with a passion for transforming raw materials into high-quality finished goods, then we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily operations of the production department, ensuring procedures and processes are followed accurately and timely.
2. Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) regulations.
3. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections.
4. Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize production processes and increase efficiency.
5. Coordinate with different departments including procurement, quality control, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
6. Lead, mentor, and develop the production team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
7. Monitor production output, product quality, and adherence to specifications, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
8. Manage production budgets and implement cost control measures.
9. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, creating a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with Sous Vide, RTE, food, deli meat, GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, SQF, and Continuous Improvement.
4. Strong knowledge of production management and quality control standards.
5. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
