Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per year

We are seeking a Safety Manager who will be responsible for developing, administering, and ensuring the success of the safety program in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, supporting more than $250M in projects.

Job Details - Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (preferably with concentration in Construction Safety) or equivalent designation
- 10+ years in construction safety and health (preferably in heavy civil)
- Proven skills to identify onsite construction hazards and recommend/implement elimination, mitigation or controls
- Proven knowledge of construction equipment, methods, and processes and how to incorporate best safe practices in our daily activities
- Ability to complete special tasks and projects with limited direction and oversight
- Strong multitasking and organization skills
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with others at all levels of the organization
- Experience conducting safety training and the ability to connect with frontline employees
- Ability to travel, largely within the DFW area
- Bilingual - English and Spanish required
Job Description:
- Identify, document, and resolve onsite safety risks or discrepancies during daily site inspections
- Evaluate and identify all safety equipment needed for project work
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis using company prescribed procedures and software, collaborating with other personnel as needed
- Participate and lead daily and weekly meetings
- Assist in investigating incident/accident/near misses and generate reports to develop a root cause analysis
- Ensure worksite injuries and illnesses are accurately documented (OSHA record keeping) and addressed
- Support evaluations of subcontractor’s safety performance (OSHA’s multi-employer worksite rule)
- Present toolbox talk content to project site staff within prescribed frequency, as determined by manager
- Present the progress of the project safety performance to leadership as directed
