Job Description Superintendent to oversee current and future projects in multiple locations. The Superintendent must be willing to travel to job locations and will provide on-site control and ownership for construction of assigned project. They will have full understanding of the scope of work, in field decision making, budget management and invoice review as needed, permitting and inspections, material ordering and rental equipment dispatch, change orders both for internal documentation and external approvals, and work to mitigate quality and financial risks for the company.
Responsibilities - Be required to communicate daily with subcontractors to maintain highest level of smart economics and quality
- Communicate schedule changes internally and externally to customers
- Work on Capture Team to include scope identification, vetting subcontractors on scope, finding the best solution to make the bid competitive while limiting risk
- Takeoffs and Sourcing of materials for proposals as needed
- Respond to paperwork or information requests from the operations or accounting teams in a timely manner
- Sub-contractor invoice review as needed for accuracy and quality.
- Smart travel to jobsites for on-site supervision
- Includes preconstruction/construction/punch/walks/closeout as needed
- Credit Card Expense reporting per procedure Change Order logging/sourcing/pricing Project and opportunity coverage for vacations
- Special Projects requested by Management
- Maintains the project schedule using short term planning
- Adheres to the project budget
- Motivates subcontractors to meet performance goals.
- Interacts with both Owners and Architects
- Conducts on-site meetings with subcontractors
- Engages with Project Manager and Project Engineer on a daily basis as it relates to the project
- Understands the need and implements Project Safety
Qualifications - High school diploma or G.E.D.; Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant construction experience
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Current knowledge and ability to apply relevant local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing and to present information to top management, owners, subcontractors, and other outside entities
- Basic math skills
- Able to use computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Smartsheet®
- Professional attitude and appearance

- Leadership and management skills
Physical Requirements and Work Environment - Work on jobs sites around power tools and electrical hazards
- Standing for long periods of time
- Lift up 50lbs
