Position Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced
Powerhouse Maintenance Technician to operate, maintain, and repair essential powerhouse machinery and systems at their Syracuse, NY facility. This role involves working with steam boilers, air compressors, high-pressure systems, and complex electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in powerhouse maintenance, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow electrical and plumbing schematics.
Shift Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
Key Responsibilities: - Equipment Maintenance & Repair : Plan and execute operations to install, maintain, and repair equipment such as steam boilers, air compressors, pumps, motors, and pressurized piping systems.
- Boiler Maintenance : Perform chemical tests on boilers, troubleshoot and repair boiler controls, and maintain high-pressure steam stations throughout the facility.
- Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve issues with powerhouse equipment, including analog and digital control systems, to ensure continuous operation.
- Installation & Assembly : Tear down, repair, and reassemble complicated units, use hand tools and pipe-fitting machinery, and install steam lines and associated components.
- Technical Interpretation : Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical, and plumbing schematics. Enter and edit time schedule data using the energy management system.
Requirements Qualifications: - Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Powerhouse Technician, specifically with steam boilers, air compressors, pumps, motors, and power-generating equipment.
- Skills :
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with troubleshooting powerhouse equipment, including both analog and digital systems.
- Location Requirement : Must live within a 50-mile radius of the Syracuse facility.
