Comply with all reporting procedures in the event of such incident, including vehicle accidents.nnMaintain a safe and comfortable environment aboard vehicles at all timesnnProvide loading and unloading assistance to all passengers requiring such support. Such assistance may be verbal or physicalnnKnowledgeable about and operate wheel chair lifts and rampsnnMaintain appropriate confidentiality about passengers in accordance with regulations and organizational policy.nnKeep cell phone on and assessable at all times while operating Agency vehiclennConduct daily inspections of vehicles and record maintenance in vehicle lognnMaintain fuel level in van by completely filling at the end of every afternoon shift or as needednnReport any mechanical problems to Lead Driver, and/or Transportation Director immediatelynnEnsures that Agency vehicles are cleaned inside and out on a regular basisnnQualificationsnnEssential Qualifications:nnCertifications/Licensures:nnCommercial Drivers License (CDL) in good standing is preferred at time of hire;Preference will be given to those candidates who are currently licensed.nnEducation:nnHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required.nnExperience and Competencies:nnFive (5) years of professional driving experience is preferred;nnCPR Certification, First Aid CertificationnnAbility to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral CharacternnAbility to meet GCC insurance requirements for driving an agency vehiclennAbility to pass transportation trainingnnAbility to meet agency insurance requirements for driving an agency vehiclennExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.nnMust have availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.nnClearance in Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks, as required.nnDuring your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with.
