ShoffnerKalthoff Mechanical Electrical Services is currently seeking an HVAC Journeyman Service Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, modification and troubleshooting and maintenance of, chillers (air-cooled/water-cooled), boilers (water/steam), roof-top units and unitary HVAC equipment.nnMilitary Veterans are encouraged to apply!nnYour pay: $40 to $45 per hour, depending on experience. This includes:nnSupporting equipment such as chillers, compressors, purge units, cooling towers, pumps/motors, valves, boilers, RTUs and unitary equipment.nnChiller/boiler components and supporting equipment, meters, relays, sensors, analog, VFD’s, switches, controllers, gauges, thermostats, and other similar devices.nnPerforms major repairs/teardowns/rebuilds on chillers and boilers. This includes:nnFollowing all EPA guidelines in recovering refrigerant, replacement of O-rings, gaskets, seals and bearings, sleeve Babbitt, thrust/counterthrust and roller bearings.nnPerforms boiler inspections and PM teardowns per current state code guidelines.nnChiller/boiler repair/rebuild to manufacturer’s specifications.nnPerforms work on cooling tower gear boxes, drive couplings, intermediate shafts, fan blade pitches, centrifugal pumps, and seal replacements.nnAbility to work on the following equipment brands: Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, and McQuay centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw chillers.nnAbility to work on the following equipment brands: Cleaver Brooks, Hurst, Lochinvar, Fulton, HB Smith, and Patterson Kelly.nnUtilizes CFC and HCFC refrigerant recovery equipment, maintains records and performs all service and maintenance repairs in accordance with current EPA regulations.nnPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed.nnExperience or Certification needed:nnHigh School diploma or equivalentnnPost-secondary vocational or technical school diploma in HVAC or Refrigeration from an accredited Institution required OR a recognized apprenticeship program, but not limited to service and operation.nn5+ years’ experience.nnMust have a clean driving record.nnEPA CertifiednnYou need to be able to:nnKeep it a Drug-free Workplace.nnBe punctual and reliable.nnWork 10-hour days and overtime when necessary.nnOn call availability.
