Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation — and we have a dynamic future ahead.?nnAs the Quality Technician, under the direction of the Production Engineering and the Quality Leader, will analyze and resolve quality issues, develop inspection plans and instructions, perform audits and analyze quality costs and other data related to quality.nnYou Will:nnConduct quality inspections following defined work instructions at specified production stages.nnPerform visual inspection of parts for surface appearance, defects in finish, or other non-conformities.nnConduct daily inspections to ensure First Pass Yield (FPY) targets are met.nnCommunicate with the team when work instructions require updates and collaborate with the technical writer to ensure documentation is current and accurate.nnCollaborate with the sustaining engineering team to identify root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions.nnLog and analyze product issues reported from the previous day to ensure documentation and resolution.nnFamiliarity with products and related issues to assess the impact and magnitude of reported problems.nnCommunicated quality alerts to the team and ensure proactive measures are taken to address them.nnConduct regular audits and process walks to verify compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.nnRecord test data.nnEvaluate data and documents to verify compliance with standard or identify deviations.nnRecommend modifications to quality or production standards to optimize quality within equipment limitations.nnDevelop data for continuous improvement efforts and lead teams in implementing improvements.nnPerform failure analysis on customer complaints and returns.nnConduct CI (Continuous Improvement) inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.nnYou Have:nnHigh School Diploma or GED.nn2+ years of manufacturing experiencenn2+ years of quality related experiencennAbility to read and write is required.nnStrong math skills.nnRead blueprints and use measuring tools.nnPhysical Requirements:nnWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.nnWork Environment:nnWork in both office and manufacturing environment.
