Together, we create a brighter future for pets and our community.nnThis position will be night shift (6pm - 6am)nnAs a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which will include facilities, packing, processing, and batching/unloading/slurry (BUS). You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. Our maintenance work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance.nnMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment that you have been assigned responsibility for by using the following criteria:nnAll repairs must be done safely and in a craftsman-like manner.nnLook for continuous improvement, ideas to improve safety, reliability, quality, throughput, and energy.nnKeep your work areas at tour-ready sanitation levels and prevent product safety issues.nnAll work sites must be kept clear and free of debris.nnWork with Engineers on capital upgrades in your area as needed with either actual installation assistance or as an advisor/Team Leader.nnComplete any other assigned maintenance duties as directed by Team Leader including the following:nnElectrical/Mechanical work for other plant areas.nnAttend job-related training (new equipment, safety, new policies, etc.)nnMachine Shop worknnHousekeeping of shop area’s equipmentnnMaintenance Progression PlannnFollow all plant safety rules and work rules.nnRequirementsnnHigh school diploma or GED equivalentnn2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degreennThe hourly pay for this position is $31.25 an hour.
