Experience a workplace where safety, efficiency, and meaningful personal connections define every day, enriching both our teammates and the communities we serve.nnNucor supports its teammates with top-tier benefits like Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance, 401K and Roth accounts, Profit sharing, Pay-for-performance bonuses, Paid parental leave, Tuition reimbursement, Stock program, Scholarships, and more.nnBasic Job Functions:nn((cust_safetyState))nnProperly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.nnWear proper PPE as required.nnPerform daily inspections on equipment and report any defects or needed repairs to supervisor.nnRemoving metals and debris from conveyor belt.nnWork in outdoor and indoor environments.nnGeneral labor duties that may include but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and general cleanup of any area and/or equipment and physical handling of materials, supplies, etc.nnWilling to cross-train in other positions and assist other teammates as needed.nnPreventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment but not limited to shredder, eddy current, etc., as required.nnChange liners, grates, hammers, etc. on the shredder.nnChange bearings, motors, gearboxes, conveyor belts, sprockets and drive chains as needed.nnChange hydraulic hoses, hydraulic cylinders and electric motors.nnPerform other job duties as assigned by the Facility Manager/Supervisor.nnMinimum Qualifications:nnWorkweek schedule: M-F 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM and Saturdays as needed.nnAbility to work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day.nnAbility to walk up several flights of stairs and work at heights above one story.nnKnowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles.nnFlexible to work weekends, and holidays; including overtime and six days a week as required by production.nnAble to complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision.nnAbility to work closely with others in a team environment.nnWorking knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.nnAbility to understand and carry out written and oral instructions and effectively communicate in English, preferred.nnTroubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary.nnStrong mechanical abilities to include field welding, torching, and light fabrication and knowledge of tools, etc.nnMinimum of 3 years of previous industrial maintenance experience.nnPreferred Qualifications:nnTrained and certified in rigging and/or signaling.nnInterprets schematic diagrams, blueprints and sketches.nnExperience using a front-end loader, excavator, forklift, skid steer, scrap handler, man-lift mobile crane and overhead hoist as needed in an industrial/outdoor work environment.nnDetailed Selection Criteria:nnComplete work history is required to be considered for this position.
