DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Critical Care Partner (CCP) CNA supports the continuum of care by providing basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities, such as chart audits. Utilizes a variety of technical equipment and supplies.
Provides basic patient care support: patient transport, specimen and blood and blood products transport, and inventory management. Cross trains to the role of Hospital Unit Secretary. This position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Participates in collaborative team environment, including: training and evaluation of peers; scheduling of work; and assisting the administrative functions of the unit.
Opportunities available for both full-time and part-time roles, as well as day and night shifts. Hours and shifts will be discussed during the interview process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid California CNA certification.

BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date.
Demonstrated ability to observe deviations from normal.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Previous inpatient acute care CNA experience.
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and/or de-escalation training.
Previous experience with psych and behavioral patients in the acute care setting.
Video monitor tech experience.

Experience with Epic, UCSD Paging & Scheduling Systems.

Knowledge of medical terminology or certificate of medical terminology training.

Bilingual: Spanish/English.

Annual Full Pay Range: $47,878 - $59,487 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $22.93 - $28.49
