About this role:
The HVAC Start-Up Warranty Technician is responsible for conducting system start-ups and troubleshooting for newly installed HVAC systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet performance standards. This role involves performing comprehensive inspections, addressing any initial issues or deficiencies, and verifying compliance with manufacturer warranties and industry regulations. The technician works closely with installation teams and customers to resolve any problems promptly, provide detailed reports on system performance, and ensure that all aspects of the system are functioning correctly before finalizing the installation process. Excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and strong customer service abilities are crucial for success in this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct initial start-ups of newly installed HVAC systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet performance standards.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment issues, addressing any performance problems to restore optimal functionality.
  • Deliver thorough and effective service results on every job, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
  • Notify the office of required parts and follow up to expedite procurement and ensure timely repairs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and builders as needed to resolve any issues.
  • Use company-supplied iPad to manage scheduled calls, track work digitally, and maintain accurate records.
Required Qualifications:

  • Capable of interacting professionally with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Flexible and innovative team player who thrives in dynamic environments and contributes positively to team efforts.
  • Valid driver's license with a minimum of three years of driving experience and a clean record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EPA Certification
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements of this job include tasks such as lifting weights (e.g., pounds regularly and occasionally), climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work. The role also involves working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces, and exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions such as rain or snow.
