Position Summary:
n
The Superintendent is responsible for monitoring the overall construction work for all assigned projects. This includes updating project schedules, managing labor costs, and coordinating Subcontractor and Self Perform work.

Job Duties
n
n- Responsible for ensuring that a safe workplace remains the top priority by partnering with the Safety department, Safety committee, and Project Management to support policies, procedures and practices for establishing a safe workplace.
n- Control job progress by managing Subcontractors, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control and safety control techniques on the job.
n- Control project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs.
n- Oversee field productivity, cost control, quality control and scheduling to ensure accurate and updated construction schedules and budgets are being met.
n- Work with field and project management to address cost and schedule concerns.
n- Take an active part in job start / job close meetings.
n- Communicate regularly with Project Management to troubleshoot job challenges and update job status
n- Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures with field personnel and Subcontractors.
n- Provide Leadership through building cooperative relationships, acting systemically, being decisive and taking responsibility.
n- Display leadership by being a good role model and striving to promote a positive attitude at all times.
n- Always act in a professional manner
n- Other unlisted duties will be assigned

Job Requirements:
n
n- 5-10 years of experience in water/wastewater, heavy civil or industrial projects preferred
n- Experience with piping and concrete
n- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
n- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
n- Detail oriented
n- Willing to travel
n- Moderate to high level of proficiency operating Primavera 6 CPM scheduling software, Procore and/or Blue Beam is highly preferred
n- Moderate to high level of proficiency operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
n- Valid driver license for frequent travel
n- Be able to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
n- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
n- Full understanding of construction math concepts
n- Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature. Some exposure to outdoors with changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind. Ability to physically maneuver by foot minor obstacles at construction projects
n- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
n- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
