We’re looking for a Landscape Truck Driver. Can you picture yourself here?nnHere’s what you’d do:nnLandscape Truck Driver will be responsible for providing landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. This role is responsible for safely operating commercial grade landscaping equipment and ensuring the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.nnYou’d be responsible for:nnPrepare Landscape Trucks for the day including:nnLoad gas cans, mowers, and other equipment onto trucks/trailers.nnSecure all equipment onto trucks/trailers.nnMaintain and correctly use issued personal protective equipment.nnSafely operate vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws.nnPerform maintenance on industrial, commercial, or public properties including:nnSafely operate equipment with all necessary personal protective equipmentnnMow turf using various mowers.nnEdge grass at curbs and walkways.nnBlow leaves and clippings.nnPrune shrubs and trees as needed and clear debris.nnPull weeds as needed.nnClean site and watch for trash, limbs, and rocks.nnPlantings and Flower Installation:nnPrep soil uniformly for flower or groundcover installation.nnPlant material properly considering depth, size, placement, and spacing.nnApply mulch appropriately for type of material.nnWater material correctly.nnEdge beds or establish new bed edges.nnPerform maintenance on equipment:nnUnload equipment from BrightView trucks/trailers.nnWash equipment and truck.nnChange equipment blades and oil.nnClean air filters.nnGrese machines.nnConduct EDVIR on assigned vehicles.nnOther duties as assigned.nnSafely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials, including, but not limited to backpack blowers, large containers of mulch/plant material, assorted sizes of lawnmowers, etc.nnSafely operate hand and power equipment, including but not limited to manual and powered sawing and cutting equipment.nnLeverage 80 lbs. of a walk behind mower over curbs.nnBe able to lift, push, or carry 50 pounds (mulch, fertilizer, etc.).nnAbility to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day. Bending/kneeling up to 9 hours or more per day.nnLift branches and limbs.nnPush, pull, grip, and squeeze various tools, products and/or items (e.g., pruning).nnWalk up to 10 miles a day, sometimes uphill and on uneven terrain, often while carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment, materials, or debris.nnSpray various pesticides/herbicides.nnUse hand saw.nnYou might be a good fit if you have:nnValid Driver’s license.nnSome experience in lawncare helpful.nnMust be able to operate various lawn care machinery including mowers, edgers, backpack blowers.nnMust be able to operate various vehicles, with or without trailers.nnBilingual English/Spanish highly preferred, but not required.nnAbility to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.nnAbility to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.nnWork hours vary and may exceed 12 hours per day.nnNoise level may be loud at times and use of ear plugs may be required (e.g., outdoor conditions, backpack blowers, running mowers, week whackers).nnHere’s what to know about working here:nnHere at BrightView, we’re as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about caring for each other.
